I am a slacker!

I have been such a slacker! We have had sweet Bobalouie for a little over 6 months.  I have to admit, over the winter months we didn't do a whole lot with him besides feed him and give him lots of lovin'.  It really surprises me that he is so easy going on some stuff and so freaked out over others.

So what do we do? Really work on the stuff that freaks him out! So, for the past couple of weeks we have been working with the Equine eating blue tarp. Man, that thing is really scary.  But today was the day!  We finally walked over it!

We also worked on just touching the tarp and having it blow around him and making A LOT of weird noise. :) We used Tucker to show him that the tarp is not a big bad.

That's it for today! It was a pretty successful day!

Bobaluie Day 18-24

Whew, this week has been pretty busy.  Louie has been quite the rockstar!  He has worked on loading in the trailer, and is practicing sending. Also, yesterday he got his first mini trim on his feet! Everyday he amazes us.  What a little trooper!

Monumental Mustang Moment

Today we had a monumental mustang moment! Mom decided that Louie needed to be clean shaven. What?! Seriously? You want to use clippers on a mustang that has only been with us for two weeks? Should I have even worried?  The answer to that is...NO. He looks so handsome now. She said he had a few snorty minutes but then just relaxed and let her clip away.

Also, I thought I would share an awesome picture of the house.  How beautiful are the steps. Happy Fall Yall!

Heart Attack City!

Holy Moly, I about had a small heart attack today when I went to feed.  This is what I see when I get to the barn...

This is not good.  Why are you in the barn little man??? And how did you get there?  I go into the barn and this is what I find..

What happened?  The only thing we can figure out, is that Louie's gate was left open and Gunner made his evening miserable.  Poor little guy.  He has some bumps and scrapes but is fine otherwise.  Thank goodness things were not worse.  But in pure Bobalouie style by the end of the evening he was back to his curious self and was trying to join me in the chicken pen.  Silly boy!

Louie Day 5

October 14,

Day 5... Louie and Mom took a walk outside the pen today! He was a champ! We even went to the obstacle course and let him walk over some of the ground obstacles.  He never even hesitated.  Bobalouie is a rockstar!!

Here is a video of his awesome obstacle work!

Louie day 4

October 13,

Day 4... we had some pretty big storms and high wind all day today.  Mom decided to move Louie to the other side of the barn.  But for this to happen we had to walk through the barn. WHAT?! So he had to go into the stall ( has never been IN a stall), step over the threshold and walk down the concrete walk way.  He acted like he has been walking down the aisle his whole life.

And he decided that this whole in the stall thing is pretty great!

Louie Day 3

October 12

Today is day 3.  Mom got Louie's halter on for the first time!  He was a little unsure but decided that it was really no big deal.
